Biking Long Beach
As a team we tackled and challenged Long Beach's claim to being the bike friendliest city. Though, since our concept campaign, they have grown leaps and bounds in this department, when we started there was plenty to do. We designed a campaign to get both motorist and cyclists' attention, teach each about bike safety, better mark bike trails with a new signage system, as well as a new website concept, all catering to the bike loving enthusiasts of Long Beach.
These coasters would be placed in bars and restaurants and contain helpful hints about bike safety including the little known fact that riding a bike while intoxicated is considered a DUI offense.
Color coded bike trail signs could easily be added to existing street signs to better mark bike paths in an easy to read fashion. Each color represents a different class bike trail.
